Ordering & Shipping

Because we ship from Pennsylvania, our Irish goods have already been shipped into the United States from Ireland, with relevant US duty paid, therefore they are not the best option for international customers. At this time we are declining all sales with billing and shipping addresses outside the United States.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY TRANSIT TIMES...

Each item on the website shows an "availability" listing. This is the amount of time it will usually take before your order leaves Pennsylvania, such as "Usually ships next business day". Delivery transit time is not included in this.

Currently all items are shipped from Pennsylvania using UPS or the US Postal Service. All orders sent to APO military addresses must ship by US Priority Mail.

UPS picks up and delivers orders Monday through Friday, with the exception of major holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Our standard shipping method is either UPS Ground or Priority Mail with a shipping charge of $7.95 for each order sent up to 6 lbs in weight, with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii, which is $12.95. Above 6 lbs we charge actual shipping costs for UPS or US Mail. There are no additional duty, customs or handling fees. Orders over $100.00 weighing 6 lbs or less receive free shipping within the continental U.S. only.

Delivery transit time on in-stock items using our standard shipping usually varies from 1-10 days depending on the distance the order is being shipped. We ship from Pennsylvania (zip code 17603), so orders shipping to mid-Atlantic states will arrive the quickest, and orders to midwest or west coast addresses will take the longest to arrive.

We are required to collect 6% Pennsylvania sales tax on orders shipped to Pennsylvania addresses as our business is located in-state.

FASTER SHIPPING OPTIONS...

Faster UPS shipping methods such as UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS 3 Day Select are also available on request. We charge actual UPS charges for these faster services, rather than our usual flat shipping rate.

Faster UPS services should be requested by typing the date by which you need delivery in the box you will see as you go through the order form. Let us know the date you must have delivery by, and we can send the package by the appropriate service, depending on your distance from our warehouse in Pennsylvania.

Please note delivery times on these faster UPS services:

UPS 3 Day Select means shipping day plus 3 additional business days to delivery, so an order we send on a Wednesday would arrive the following Monday.

UPS 2nd Day Air means shipping day plus 2 additional business days to delivery, so an order we send on a Wednesday would arrive on Friday.

UPS 1st Day Air means shipping day plus 1 additional business day to delivery, so an order we send on a Wednesday would arrive on Thursday.

The cost for UPS 3 Day Select and 2nd Day Air service averages $20 - $30 for an order. UPS Next Day Air service usually costs in excess of $35.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt to satisfy yourself as to the quality of the merchandise, size and color considerations, etc.

If we make a mistake in fulfilling your order, or if you receive any item that is defective or was damaged in transit, please notify us by email within 14 days, and we will promptly rectify the situation. If your order was damaged in transit, please retain the merchandise and all original packing material until advised otherwise-- thank you.

If you order a regular stock item that you wish to return, please return the merchandise within 14 days, in unused condition with all original tags attached, and we will credit the account used for the sales transaction to reimburse you for the cost of the item. The customer is responsible for both the original and return postage costs. Reimbursement can only be made on goods received back in perfect condition, that is, not damaged, worn, crumpled or wrinkled, etc. Please pack returns carefully-- thank you.

Due to health considerations, pierced earrings are not returnable. All other jewelry may be returned or exchanged for size.

Perfumes, colognes, lotions, etc. that have had their original shrink wrapping removed are not returnable.

Please send returns to Island Ireland Marketplace, 1510 Quarry Lane, Lancaster, PA 17603, including your name, order number and the reason for the return. You may wish to insure the return package to protect yourself against loss or damage in transit.

If you would like to exchange a regular stock item for size, please mail it to the above address with a note that includes the original order number and a request for exchange. If you need to exchange a ring for size, please mail back the ring only (keep the box).
