Made in Ireland by JMH Jewelry, Dublin. Inspired by carved stone Irish high crosses, this small 10k gold Irish Celtic cross tie tack is embossed with polished Celtic knotwork against a rough cast background. To the Celts, the flowing lines and interwoven designs of their art represented the interconnectedness and continuity of life. The Irish "Trinity Knot" design is often found on crosses.

Examples of fine Celtic knotwork can be found in Ireland's national treasures, such as the Book of Kells, an illuminated hand-written manuscript of the four Gospels, or in the treasures of gold displayed at the National Museum in Dublin, which houses fine examples of Irish Celtic jewelry and metalwork with Celtic knotwork designs.
