DescriptionCeltic jewelry made in Ireland by Solvar Jewellery, Dublin. This sterling silver necklace in a contemporary teardrop design is suspended on an 18 inch chain and features two classic Irish symbols: the Irish claddagh and the Irish "Trinity Knot".
First created in the 1600s, the claddagh design of hands, heart and crown represents friendship, love and loyalty. The three-sided Trinity Knot is a Celtic knotwork design that symbolizes the Christian Trinity, and its interwoven lines are often found decorating the pages of illuminated manuscripts such as The Book of Kells, or carved on stone Celtic crosses.
Assayed and hallmarked at Dublin Castle, Ireland. The necklace comes presented in a Solvar gift box.
